How we count
Scope
Companies whose primary activity in the Estonian business register is EMTAK 1623, 16231, 16232 or 16239: prefabricated wooden buildings (houses, saunas, summer cottages) and their elements, and other builders’ carpentry and joinery. Secondary activities are not counted. The count also includes JEM.HOUSE OÜ, the publisher of this index.
Active
A company is counted as active at the end of a month if its register entry is valid — not in liquidation or bankruptcy — and it was listed in the register’s open-data file within the last 14 days of that month.
New
A new registration is a company in scope whose register entry date falls in that month. Counts for past months are read from entry dates in the current register, so companies deleted since then are not in them.
Not published yet
Removals (deletions, liquidations, changes of activity code) are not published yet. When they are added, the method version in the table changes.
