Kontiotuote Oy, known as Kontio, is the world’s largest manufacturer of log buildings. The company manufactures log houses, log villas, saunas, and other buildings from raw timber into finished products at its factory in Pudasjärvi. Kontio manages the entire process from raw timber to fully completed buildings. For over 50 years, Kontio has delivered more than 50,000 log buildings worldwide. Kontio serves customers globally, with exports to around 20 countries, including key markets like France, Greece, and Canada, in addition to domestic sales. Its global network of experts also offers complete architectural and building services. The company employs just over 200 people and had a revenue of €42 million in 2024. Kontio's log houses are manufactured according to European technical approval (ETA-05/0119), which enables CE marking. The company uses only PEFC-certified or PEFC-controlled wood.
